Teachers and researchers at the University of Manitoba are frequently recognized for their achievements. This site pays tribute to those who have received the Order of Canada and/or the Order of Manitoba - the most prestigious honours in our country and our province – and/or have been named to the Royal Society of Canada, considered to be Canada's most prestigious academic accolade to which scholars and scientists aspire.
| Currently, one University of Manitoba faculty member has been appointed as a Companion, five as Officers and five as Members of the Order of Canada. Additionally, ten individuals have been appointed to the Order of Manitoba and 39 have been named Fellows in the Royal Society of Canada. |
The University of Manitoba also confers the title of Distinguished Professor on academic staff members who have demonstrated outstanding distinction in research, scholarship, creative endeavours, professional service and teaching.
