Agricultural Engineering

This long rectangular building was designed in 1912 by architects Samuel Hooper and V. W. Horwood for the campus Stock Judging Pavilion. It was originally surrounded by the barns for convenience in handling the various animals. In the building were the refrigerator rooms, the butcher's department, emergency stables, and a Veterinary Science laboratory. The skylit central judging area was surrounded by a large gallery with seating accommodation for very large classes. Although the interior has been ext ensively modified to house instruments, machinery, and motor laboratories, the exterior remains as it was originally designed.
