Animal Science / Entomology

The Animal Science Building is situated immediately to the west of the old Executive Poultry Building. Opened in 1962 it is a totally symmetrical single rectangular two-story unit with twin entrances.

The exterior is sheathed in panels of Manitoba limestone in combination with precast concrete and aggregate panels. A large two-story open courtyard acts as the visual core of the interior of the building. The landscaping of the courtyard, which is surrou nded by a reflecting glass curtain wall of dark tinted glass, was designed by the eminent Canandian horticulturalist Stan Westaway.
