Animal Science Research UnitFunding from the Manitoba Government, various agricultural associated industries and individual donors resulted in the building of the Animal Science Research Unit (ASRU) on campus in 1992.
The new ASRU plays a necessary role in the departments' research and teaching activities. It is used to house large animals on campus for short periods of time for courses in Production, Distribution and Utilization of Agricultural Products, Reproduction Physiology, Physiology of Domestic Animals, and The Animal and Its Environment.
The presence of the building has been fundamental in the receiving of several hundred thousand dollars in industry and Federal Government research grants.
