COMMITTED TO STUDENT SUCCESS
Our first benefactor, Alexander Kennedy Isbister, left a legacy to the University of Manitoba to provide scholarships and prizes to students based on merit - regardless of sex, race, creed, language or nationality. Isbister recognized that good minds exist in all branches of humankind. In keeping with this philosophy the University of Manitoba continues to build upon a commitment to provide an exceptional education to all who wish to learn. The University of Manitoba offers distance education programs and inner city degree and certification programs in partnership with Aboriginal, First Nations, and Metis communities.

SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT
University 1 offers a unique approach to first year study. The innovative program is designed to help students find a direction that fits their interests and abilities, offering choice, flexibility, and supportive programs – without adding an extra year to their degree.
