
Adjacent to the Health Sciences Centre, the Bannatyne campus is a complex of 10 buildings used for education and research in the fields of Medicine, Dentistry, Medical Rehabilitation and Pharmacy.
The Bannatyne campus is home to students and professors dedicated to improving our health and well-being. Located in downtown Winnipeg, the campus brings together most of the University of Manitoba’s health sciences programs, providing an incredible opportunity for collaboration.
- The Faculty of Medicine is made up of 20 centres, institutes and research groups. Among them is the Centre for Global Public Health, which helps design and deliver international health and development projects across the globe to prevent HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases.
- The Apotex Centre provides a state-of-the-art teaching and research space for the Faculty of Pharmacy and department of immunology.
- At the Regenerative Medicine Laboratory, internationally-renowned researchers develop new medical procedures for the regeneration of damaged cells and tissues.
- Nationally and internationally recognized, the Faculty of Dentistry’s clinicians and biomedical scientists provide a positive learning environment for 128 dental students, 52 dental hygiene students and more than 25 graduate students.
As Western Canada’s first medical school, the University of Manitoba’s Faculty of Medicine has graduated more than 9,000 physicians.
