Students have the opportunity to travel and study abroad with the university’s exchange programs in 35 countries.
We believe in pursuing potential in and outside the classroom.
We empower our students to explore university life and the larger world through a variety of co-curricular programs, giving them the chance to lead, be part of an exchange, volunteer and experience service learning.
- Students make an impact through initiatives like the Reading Buddies, the Children Rising Mentorship Program, Alternative Reading Week Winnipeg, Alternative Reading Week El Salvador, Come Alive in Costa Rica and both the Ecuador and Bangladesh Service-Learning Experiences.
- Students can volunteer with various groups including the World W.I.S.E. Ambassadors Program, the Orientation Office, the U1 International Mentorship Program and the Indigenous Circle of Empowerment.
- Students living on campus can choose from six residences that together house 1,315 students each year – the Arthur V. Mauro Student Residence, Mary Speechly Hall, Pembina Hall, the University College Residence, St. John’s College and St. Andrew’s College.
Over 110 student groups orchestrate cultural, religious, political and recreational programs covering a range of interests: from dance and photography to the environment and social justice.
