The University of Manitoba is home to eleven Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship recipients, who are deemed world-class doctoral students.

The strength of spirit at the U of M doesn’t allow us to rest on our laurels. It pushes us to face challenges and overcome them to achieve our goals.

In 2012 another exceptional U of M student was awarded the prestigious Rhodes Scholarship, bringing our total to date to 97, more than any other university in Western Canada.

We celebrate triumphs like these across our campus.

• For five years our pharmacy students have performed among the best in Canada on the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (PEBC) Qualifying Examinations.
• The Asper School of Business has dominated international business planning competitions with more than 50 first-place wins since 1995.
• Students in the Marcel A. Desautels Faculty of Music have won the prestigious Oscar Peterson Grant for Jazz performance twice in the last four years.
