Reciprocal Borrowing
All University of Manitoba faculty, staff and students may register for borrowing privileges at any institution in Manitoba and Canada taking part in reciprocal borrowing agreements with the University of Manitoba libraries. To register at another institution, present a valid University of Manitoba photo ID card. If you intend to visit other Canadian post-secondary institutions or Online Computer Library Centre, Inc. (OCLC) institutions, obtain an appropriate reciprocal borrowing card from us before you go. U of M faculty, staff and students are subject to the regulations at any other institution they visit and borrowing privileges may be suspended at the U of M Libraries until any problems are reconciled.
Learning Objects Repository
The University of Manitoba and Red River College have been collaborating as part of an ad hoc working group of Manitoba post-secondary institutions working towards the development of a provincial learning object repository. The U of M, RRC and several other academic institutions are currently exploring funding sources for development of learning objects, as well as ways that a pilot learning objects project developed at the U of M can be expanded to other institutions.
