Students to Rub Shoulders with Business Community

Business students will be doing part of their studies in the heart of Winnipeg’s banking and commerce district when the downtown campus of the I.H. Asper School of Business opens in 2011. The new Asper School of Business, downtown campus will be located in a heritage setting at 177 Lombard. This historic space will house smart classrooms for local and distance professional development, an area for student and corporate and community leaders to meet, as well as a library and reading room available to the business community. The Great-West Life Assurance Company, Power Corporation of Canada, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Manitoba, and The Winnipeg Foundation each invested $500,000 in the new downtown campus of the University of Manitoba Asper School. CN has also contributed $250,000 to the building project, which will ensure the School has cutting edge resources and programs needed for stellar executive education in an accessible downtown location.
