Faculty of Agricultural & Food Sciences – Glenlea Guardian Graduate Fund

 

 One of the faculty’s main fundraising priorities remains the Glenlea Guardian Graduate Fund which supports the Bruce D. Campbell Farm and Food Discovery Centre at the Glenlea Research Station.

Faculty of Architecture – Faculty of Architecture Endowment Fund

The Faculty of Architecture Endowment Fund provides essential support to the Faculty of Architecture in the areas of academic and cultural enrichment, as well as in advancing the academic and research goals of the Faculty. 

The Endowment Fund, in turn, derives much of its support from faculty and staff members, students and benefactors. Importantly, the various Student Organizations of the Faculty of Architecture vote on their contributions to this Fund and have recently renewed their commitment to continuing contributions. This clearly demonstrates the degree of commitment that they have to the Faculty and its continued pursuit of excellence, innovation, and development. 

Successful student projects that have received support from the Endowment Fund include the student publication Warehouse Journal, the annual Ditchball event and the Faculty of Architecture Student Photography Competition and Exhibit. This fund has also enabled the Faculty of Architecture Gallery to bring in many excellent international exhibits including works by Kira Appelhans, Smout Allen, Alona Rodeh, Florian Koehl, and Perry Kulper. ATMOSPHERE, an annual international conference held in the Faculty in the course of the past five years has also been supported by this fund.

Taché Arts Project Under the Taché Arts Project Domino -- the campus-wide initiative that promotes sustainability through redevelopment of several major facilities at the Fort Garry Campus, including Taché Hall -- the School of Art will be revitalized and have appropriate space to properly deliver its programs.

School of Dental Hygiene – Drive for Top Five Campaign The School of Dental Hygiene has always assumed a prominent role in dental hygiene education in North America, and under the Faculty of Dentistry’s Drive for Top Five campaign, this role will be further solidified. The Drive for Top Five Campaign includes the creation of a new Virtual Simulation/Electronic Digital Curriculum. Key to this initiative is an amazing new 3-D education platform: the Digital Dental System (DDS). Recently, the Faculty of Dentistry was one of only a handful of schools in North America chosen as a beta test site, a selection that endorses our reputation for excellence and innovation.
