Senate Motions

The following motions were approved by the Senate at its meeting on May 14, 2003.

Notes:

Dr. D. Lonis, Dr. A. Louka, Dr. K. Coombs and Dr. B. Payne were elected to the Senate Executive Committee.

Dr. A. Secco was elected to the Board of Governors.

MOTION

THAT Senate appoint Professor H.W. Duckworth as a member-at-large on Senate for the remainder of his term on the Board of Governors which expires on May 31, 2005.

THAT the report of the Senate Committee on Curriculum and Course Changes dated March 21, 2003 be approved by Senate.

MOTION

THAT the minutes of the Senate meeting held on April 2, 2003 be approved as circulated.

MOTION

THAT Senate approve and recommend that the Board of Governors approve the proposal of the Faculty of Graduate Studies for a M.Sc. in Management [as recommended by the report of SPPC dated April 16, 2003].

MOTION

THAT the report of the Senate Committee on Instruction and Evaluation [dated March 25, 2003] be approved by Senate.

MOTION

THAT Senate approve and recommend that the Board of Governors approve the establishment of a Chair in Orthopaedic Surgery [as recommended in the report of the Senate Committee on University Research dated April 11, 2003].

MOTION

THAT Senate approve the continuation of the Centre on Aging for a five year term beginning July 1, 2003 [as endorsed by the Senate Committee on University Research in its report dated March 12, 2003].
