The Role of the Environmental Health and Safety Office (EHSO) is stated in the University Health and Safety Policy #512  as adopted by the Board of Governors in January 2003 as follows…

' The Environmental Health and Safety Office is responsible for providing advice, guidance, technical support and ensuring that department and administrative units are made aware of their responsibilities.....'

The EHSO is available to assist you with interpretation of policies and legislative requirements. EHSO staff will provide advice on health and safety matters and respond to concerns and queries. The EHSO also provides regular seminars and workshops, as well as customized training to meet your needs.
