Welcome to UM Careers, which lists all the academic and staff positions at the Fort Garry and Bannatyne campuses. Here, you will find a wide range of career opportunities for people at all stages of their careers.
All in-person classes for Summer Session 2020 have been cancelled.
Departments are actively notifying impacted staff.
Check UM Careers for new postings for Summer Session. If you have any questions regarding your employment status for in-person Summer Session classes, please contact your home department.
If you are a current or recent employee of the University of Manitoba, you should have access to Employee Self Service (ESS). Sign into ESS using JUMP and click on the UM Careers button. Once you are logged in, you will find instructions and tutorials.
If you cannot access ESS, contact the HR Help Desk at (204) 474-9400.
If in the past you have been paid through the University payroll system or held a NIL appointment, you will have an employee number. In order to avoid duplicate accounts, which can affect seniority calculations and cause problems accessing University systems, please do the following:
1. Create a UM Careers account: See tab at top of page 'Create or Update my Profile'
2. In the ‘Personal Information’ section, at the bottom of the page, check off the box
'Former Employee' and indicate your old employee number
3. If you do not know your employee number, contact the HR Help Desk at (204) 474-9400
If you have never worked at the University of Manitoba, welcome to our recruitment site! Every week, the U of M updates the listing of career opportunities. To view the listing and/or to apply, visit UM Careers.
If you need assistance creating your UM Careers account, please contact the HR Help Desk at (204) 474-9400.
