The Outstanding Workplace Initiative shared its draft consultation framework with the University of Manitoba community in 2011. This framework helped shape the discussion that resulted in the Outstanding Workplace Initiative Strategy and Plan, which were released in August 2012.

The framework document was offered in two formats, the full document and, for the time pressured, a shorter version called “essential elements."

Information contained in both frameworks was based on U of M community consultations and key elements in the literature. These documents contain five proposed strategies. Each strategy consists of a theme and corresponding indicators. These were identified as important for enhancing our outstanding workplace.
