Anniversary Years of Service

The Anniversary Years of Service will recognize service milestones for both support staff and academic staff throughout their University career. Best practices guide us to recognize these anniversaries early and continuously and with the involvement of the supervisor / unit head. The traditional 25 year Long Service Awards will continue to be the highlight.

List of Employees Celebrating Milestone Anniversaries in 2011/12

Employees can choose one of the following awards (or similar) at their anniversary year, in May or June. The fiscal year is used for determining eligibility. Pictures of the awards will be available online and samples can be viewed at the BookStore. All will have the U of M logo, and not be in regular BookStore inventory. Employees will select their award and their supervisor/unit head will be responsible for picking it up and getting it to the employee.

5 Years

  • Nordic mug
  • Pen & letter opener set
  • Tri-star set (pen, keychain and business card holder)

10 Years

  • Wallet (ladies' or men's)
  • U of M book
  • Old Fashioned glasses (pair)
  • Desk clock  (rosewood finish)
  • Binoculars
  • Will be invited to celebration luncheon

15 Years

  • Cross Pen
  • Wine glasses - set of 4
  • Cube desk clock

  • Candle Holders

20 Years

  • Watch (ladies' or men's)

  • Rosewood Picture Frame

25 Years

  • Changing choice of gifts of significant value usually includes artwork, luggage, jewelry, and silverware
  • Evening reception including spouse and unit head

30, 35, 40, 45 and 50 years
