Supervisory Learning Resources
Supervisors at the University of Manitoba are responsible for leading their work units/teams to achieve unit goals and for a respectful climate for unit members. They are also responsible for contributing to overall excellence at the University of Manitoba through collaboration with other units/teams in achieving university strategic priorities.
We are pleased to announce our new Supervisory Excellence Certificate of Accomplishment: "U the Supervisor". For information, please click on the link in the left-hand menu.
The elements of supervisory effectiveness are listed on the Supervisory Best Practices page; LDS provides many courses for supervisors to help build and maintain skills in these areas. The two day Excellence in Supervision course gives an overview and specifically addresses many of those best practices. Looking for Leaders is a leadership “book club”; Supervisory Network is networking and selected topics for all supervisors; other programs build additional skills in specific best practices.
