CHARACTER OF THE JOB

Positions at this level lead a group of highly technical and skilled information technology professionals. Positions will identify and provide business application systems in support of a major assigned function or business line. Positions are considered an expert in a significantly complex area of information technology or, alternatively, for a wide range of complex areas.

These positions are differentiated from the previous level by virtue of leading a team of professionals who are specialists and have considerable technical expertise. The areas for which the position is responsible have extreme technical complexity and will cover a number of functional areas. Positions at this level are clearly leadership focused and may have first level supervisors reporting to them.

QUALIFICATIONS

Typically requires an advanced degree and extensive leadership experience.

An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
