The Office of Risk Management & Security would like to remind everyone when shutting down for the holiday break to make sure all your water taps and faucets are shut off. One of the biggest insurance costs to the University is from water damage. Also check  for overloaded electrical outlets and faulty or pinched extension cords that can cause fires. The Office of the Fire Commissioner Encourages Manitobans to practise Festive Season Fire Safety.
