On December 18, 2006, the Federal and Provincial Governments announced that they would be providing a total of $12.4 million over 5 years to TRLabs, a tenant of Smartpark at the University of Manitoba. TRLabs is Canada's largest and most successful not-for-profit information and communications technology resaerch and development consortium. See further details regarding the announcement.
