Enhancing Biomedical Research

With the help of a $3.2 million investment under the Winnipeg Partnership Agreement, the University of Manitoba's Faculty of Engineering will be acquiring state of the art biomedical imaging and biosensing equipment to create an enhanced Bio-Engineering Facility that will train students and industry, as well as participate in pre-commercial research.

Steve Ashton, Manitoba Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs, Steven Fletcher, MP and City of Winnipeg Councillor Jeff Browaty, made the announcement on September 28th, 2007.
