On Thursday, May 21, 2009, the University of Manitoba held its twelfth annual Campus Beautification Day. Volunteers from the community, student body, support staff, faculty, senior administration, alumni and retirees came out to both the Fort Garry and Bannatyne campuses in a united effort to clean up from our long winter and make way for the spring transformation. The Member of Parliament for the University's Fort Garry Campus, Mr. Rod Bruinooge, one of the MLAs for the University of Manitoba's Fort Garry Campus, Ms Marilyn Brick, and the City Councillor for the Campus, Mr. Justin Swandel, assisted with raking and planting of flowers.
