Biography - Denisa Gavan-Koop

Denisa joined the University of Manitoba in June 2012 as a Community Engagement Associate. Denisa is responsible for contributing to the development and implementation of the University’s broad engagement strategies in alignment with the University’s Strategic Planning Framework. Denisa reports to the Director of Government and Community Engagement.

Prior to joining the Government and Community Engagement unit at the University of Manitoba, Denisa was a Public Engagement Consultant at the University of British Columbia, Campus and Community Planning Office and a Planning and Constituency Assistant in Ward 27 (Toronto-Centre, Rosedale) in the City of Toronto.

 

Denisa holds a Master of Environmental Studies (Urban Planning) degree from York University, a Master of Arts (Political Science) degree from Simon Fraser University and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree from the University of Calgary. She also holds a Certificate in Public Participation from the International Association of Public Participation (IAP2).

 

Denisa is also Board Member of the International Association of Public Participation - Prairies Chapter
