Ran Ukashi

Ran Ukashi joined the University of Manitoba’s Government and Community Engagement team in July 2012 as a Government Relations Associate with responsibility for federal affairs. Ran is responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving the relationship between the University and the federal government in line with the University’s strategic priorities and its Strategic Planning Framework.

 

Prior to joining the University of Manitoba, Ran spent three years working as a Policy Analyst for the Tripartite Self-government Negotiations Department of the Manitoba Metis Federation, where he researched provincial and federal policies of importance to the Metis community of Manitoba, and provided policy advice to its Board of Directors, senior staff, and affiliate organizations. Ran has also spent time on Parliament Hill as a Parliamentary Assistant to a Member of Parliament and Assistant Deputy Speaker of the House of Commons, doing communications and policy research work.

 

Ran holds a Master of Arts and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Political Studies from the University of Manitoba.
