Two students in the Agriculture undergraduate program were
recognized as recipients of the 2009/2010 Farm Credit Canada
Business Planning Award at a luncheon on Friday, June 18,
2010. Students presented with awards were Rebecca Elskamp,
who received an award of $2,500.00, and JohnYokimas, who received
an award of $1,500.00. Also in attendance at the event were
Ms. Janelle Kaminsky (Relationship Manager, Farm Credit Canada),
Dr. Brian Oleson (Head, Department of Agribusiness and Agricultural
Economics), and Mr. Charles Grant (Senior Instructor, Department
of Agribusiness and Agricultural Economics). The award is
part of the FCC Business Planning Award program that encourages
students to apply their knowledge in developing real-life
business plans.
