Solomon Sinclair
Farm Management Institute

The Solomon Sinclair Farm Management Institute was initiated in 1986 by colleagues and friends of Dr. Solomon Sinclair, who was the first Department Head of Agricultural Economics and Farm Management, University of Manitoba. The objectives of the Institute are to: Promote communication of farm management issues, stimulate research in the area of farm management, inventory farm decision research, and conduct microcomputer short courses. The objectives are met by conducting seminars and by promoting the transfer of technology through developing and distributing information to farm and agribusiness managers.

The Solomon Sinclair Farm Management Institute is directed by the Head, Department of Agricultural Economics and Farm Management, University of Manitoba. An Advisory Committee meets annually at the call of the Director to receive a business plan, annual report and to review progress.
