This
website was initally constructed to supplement the Horticulture Inquiries
Service operated by the Univeristy of Manitoba. The website contains a
number of frequently asked questions (FAQ) which are representative of
inquiries received from the general public. Additional pages will be added
as new information becomes available.
For
3 to 4 decades, the Horticulture Inquiries Service was operated by a summer
student under the supervision of staff in the horticulture section of
the Department of Plant Science, Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences.
Due to a reduction in Horticulture staff the phone service was discontinued
after the 2005 season.
The website was constructed with assistance from staff and students in
the Department of Plant Science, Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences
at the University of Manitoba, including the following: Lorne Adam, Jane
Dawson, Linda Pearn, Tara Penner, Bill Remphrey, Cara Ritz and Jessica
White.
