 Michael Trevan, Ph.D., C.Biol., F.I. Biol.
Dr. Michael Trevan was appointed Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences in 2004. He came to the Faculty from London, England, where he was Higher Education Policy and Liaison Manager with the London Development Agency. Prior to that appointment, he was the University Director of Research and Consultancy at the University of Westminster and the Provost of Cavendish Campus.
Michael currently chairs the Manitoba Agricultural Producers’ Organization Certification Agency and serves as treasurer of the Council of Canadian Faculties of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine. He is also a member of the Manitoba Institute of Agrologists and the Agriculture Institute of Canada. He is a member on the board of directors for both the Canada 4-H Council and the Red River Exhibition Association.
Michael has over 35 years experience teaching and researching in universities in biochemistry related to health, nutrition, food biotechnology and plant disease. In the United Kingdom, he is a Fellow of the Institute of Biology and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine.
