SELLING YOUR TEXTBOOKS (USED BOOK BUYBACK)

Textbooks

Regardless of the time of year there are always options to sell your used textbooks. Help us make more used textbooks available to help fellow students manage their course materials budget, and earn cash for yourself at the same time!

Essentially there are three options when selling your textbook.

  1. Sell to the U of M BookStore
    * 50% cash back on reconfirmed texts. Quantities limited based on class size
  2. Sell to a wholesaler
    * 10-30% cash back when purchased for other schools throughout North America
  3. Archives
    * sold on consignment to the Student Used Bookstore

RENTING YOUR TEXTBOOKS

Renting Your Textbooks

Textbook rentals are an affordable alternative to purchasing textbooks, especially for short duration courses.

Our textbook rental service is managed online, with textbooks conveniently shipped to your address. At the end of the rental period, returns are accepted at our store at 140 University Centre, University of Manitoba Ft. Garry Campus.

 

 

 

 

  

 

 


RETURN POLICY: TEXTBOOKS AND COURSE MATERIAL

Returning Textbooks and Course Material

Authorized textbooks may be returned up to one week (during summer session and exam periods) from the date of purchase, class commencement or course change/withdrawal (two weeks for regular session.) Sales receipt and photo ID are required.

  • Opened shrink-wrapped coursepacks are non-refundable.
  • Returns are accepted based on the standards set by the publishers. Publishers will not accept any books with even just the slightest defect or damage. We cannot refund any book that appears read, used, marked, bent, torn or if the spine is cracked. Textbooks must be in perfect condition.
  • Access Codes are non-refundable.
