 ► Important Information for Students Staying in Residence over the Holiday Break:

The University of Manitoba offices are closed starting December 22rd and will re-open January 3rd. All entrances to all residence buildings will be locked during this time period. Please do not allow anyone into the Residence that you do not personally know. Always make sure you have your keys with you when you leave your room.

► Campus Security Services - Campus Security Services will be on duty and checking the residences on December 24, 25 & 26th. Please call them at 204-474-9312 if you are locked out or if you require assistance on December 24th, 25th, or 26th.

In case of an emergency call Campus Security’s 24 hour emergency line at  204-474-9341 or dial 555 from a University phone or #555 on a MTS or Rogers cell phone.

► Residence Security Staff - will be on duty 24 hours a day Dec. 27th - Jan 2nd. If you are locked out or require assistance during this period, please phone Residence Security Staff at 204- 471-2981 or go to the Residence Office at the Arthur Mauro Residence Building.

► The Residence Dining Hall - will close at 8:00pm December 19th and will re-open January 3rd, 2013 at 7:00AM. External Declining Balance Dollars can be purchased in the amounts of $100, $300, or $500 and are refundable (less a $60 administration fee). This will be a great solution for when the campus is closed during breaks - dine in, pick up, or delivery. Please contact Food Services for more information at 204-474-7048 or DiningServices@umanitoba.ca.

► The maintenance request system - will not be monitored over the break. For any serious emergency maintenance issues please contact Campus Security @ 204-474-9341 or Residence Security @ 204-471-2981.

► Internet Problems - If you experience internet problems, please call the Internet Help Desk at 204-474-8570, leave a message, and someone will get back to you.

► Residence Kitchens - If you are using the kitchen in your building, please be very careful to ensure that the stove is turned off when you are finished cooking and clean the kitchen area for the next person. Put all garbage in the garbage can.

► Incoming Mail - Incoming mail arriving during the break can be picked up between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon on December 27th from the Mail Room in the STORES Building at 79 Freedman Crescent. Any mail not picked up will be brought to the Residence Offices on January 3rd.
