Pembina Hall Residence, our newest residence, opened on September 3, 2011. It houses 360 students in a contemporary, high-rise building situated above the existing Pembina Hall Building and Dining Room. All 360 units are single rooms with an exterior glass wall providing plenty of natural light and excellent views of the campus to the north and the Red River to the south. Each room is complete with its own private washroom and shower. Free wireless Internet is available throughout the entire building with additional wired in-room options for Internet, television, and telephone. Each of the ten residence floors has a lounge with a kitchenette, soft seating, and a flat screen HD television. The lounge on the 4th floor will has a fully equipped kitchen for community use. Laundry facilities are located on the second floor.

• Residence Advisor (RA) - trained student staff on each floor
• All female floor available

• Workshops: study skills, resumé writing, job interviews
• Alcohol Awareness program
• Student government
• The Healthy Active Living Learning Community (LLC)
• Recreation, fitness classes, socials, and intermural sports with Recreation Services

► Room Rates:
Once approved by the Board of Governors each year, the Room Rates are posted with payment schedules.

► Meal Plans:
The Pembina Hall Residence does have a mandatory Meal Plan.

► Student Fees:
Currently, there are two fees that are in addition to your room and meal plans.

• Residence Council Fee $45
• Residence Life Programming Fee $70

► IT - Phone, Cable, Internet:
Students are provided with free wireless Internet via the University of Manitoba throughout the building, but any other IT Services including telephone, television, and subscriber service wired Internet can be negotiated by the student.

Bedroom - 9.5 ft x 20 ft.; Washroom - 5 ft x 10 ft; Total room: approx. 175 sq. ft.

• Bookcase
• Desk
• Under-desk filing cabinet/drawer set
• Desk chair
• Storage drawer with padded seat
• Washroom -- shower with shower door, sink/cabinet/mirror, and toilet
