Physical Plant

Welcome to Winnipeg!

The University of Manitoba's Physical Plant Department has the great pleasure of invting you to the 45th Western Canadian Physical Plant Administrators Conference (WCUPPA) to be held in Winnipeg from September 12 - 14, 2012.  The University of Manitoba is the region's largest university with our beautiful 233-hectare main campus bordering the banks of the Red River in south Winnipeg.

Winnipeg is located in the heart of the country, and the conference setting is The Forks, which is an historic meeting place at the junction of the Red and Assinboine Rivers.

This year's conference theme is "Changing Skylines" and we are very excited to extend an invitation to visit our City and our Campuses to showcase many of our recent projects.  Our committee is working very hard to prepare a conference and technical program, which will provide an opportunity to share ideas, exchange information, and collaborate with many Physical Plant and Facilties staff from across Western Canada.

On behalf of the WC UPPA 2012 planning committee, I am very pleased to extend an invitation to you and your partners to attend this year's conference.  I hope you will make every effort to join us in Winnipeg and look forward to welcoming you to Friendly Manitoba, the City of Winnipeg and the University of Manitoba.

Sincerely,

Brian J. Rivers
Director, Physical Plant
