2011 Campus Beautification Day and Project Awards

The University of Manitoba held its 14th annual Campus Beautification Day on Thursday, May 26.

Staff, students, and faculty participated on a voluntary basis to help beautify the campus.

Jobs included picking up paper, raking, sweeping, pulling weeds and planting flowers.

A barbecue lunch was held at noon in the quadrangle on the Fort Garry Campus. Following the barbecue, University of Manitoba Vice-President (Administration) Deborah J. McCallum thanked everyone for their participation.

Several prizes were awarded at the event. U of M's Sandra Roopchand from Housekeeping won the grand prize: Two tickets for a WestJet flight.
