Community Based Policing is a proactive program that addresses the needs of the University community. The Community Special Constable provides the community with safety and security information that is tailored to the needs of the various departments and organizations. The Community Special Constable works closely with departments and organizations at the U of M, providing assistance with security related projects, conducting presentations, and maintaining a visible presence within the community.   In addition, our department meets annually with various student groups on campus to address the changing needs and concerns of the University community.
