Accommodation and Reservations:
The University of Manitoba Resident Guest Information

Accommodation:

All guests staying on campus will be housed at the SPEECHLY/TACHE Residences. At Specially Hall, each residence floor has its own lounge with small fridge and television. At Tache Hall, lounge facilities are equipped with televisions on floors 2 and 3. Washroom facilities are located centrally to sleeping areas and the residences are not air conditioned. Coin operated laundry facilities are located in the basement of the residence.

 
Cancellation:

  • Cancellation of accommodation less than 48 hours in advance of arrival, will constitute a charge of the first night's room rental.

  • "No shows" will be charged the first night's room rental.


    • Meal Services: Pembina Hall Dining Room in Pembina Hall is open for cafeteria meals as follows: Monday to Friday from 7:30 am - 9:30 am, 11:30 pm - 1:30 pm, 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm. Closed Saturday Sunday and holidays.

    University Centre:

    University Centre offers a wide range of services including a bookstore, pharmacy, copying service, a dental clinic, optical services, University Health Services, postal outlet, florist and hair stylists. Hours of operation vary and are posted at these locations.

     
    Parking - Campus:

    Parking is available in Student Areas ONLY with a parking pass. A parking pass is included in the residence room rate for individuals guests staying on Campus. Such guests should request a parking pass from the Residence Office at the time of check-in. Additional Parking Passes can be purchased at $6.00 + GST for full days and $3.00 + GST for half-days.

     
    Transportation:

    The U of M campus is best reached from the Winnipeg International Airport via taxi cab. An approximate cab fare from the airport to the University is $25.00.

    Monday to Friday, General Office Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
    After office hours Monday - Friday: 4:30 p.m. - 12:30 p.m.
    AND
    Saturdays, Sundays & Holidays 4:30 p.m. - 12:30 p.m.
