Centre For Higher Education Research And Development

The Centre for Higher Education Research and Development (CHERD) is Canada's leading institution dedicated to scholarship and the professional development of faculty and administration in post-secondary education.

CHERD was established in 1987 and offers regional and national courses, programs, seminars, and workshops.

CHERD strives to maintain an appropriate balance among the tasks of teaching, scholarship, and service. At the same time, it attempts to maintain a similarly appropriate balance among its commitments locally, provincially, and nationally. CHERD also uses a range of media and data sets to exchange information with its world-wide network of scholars and practitioners.

The activities of CHERD are carried out by a core of academic and support staff and a larger network of academic leaders in higher education from the University of Manitoba and across North America.

You can learn more about CHERD and its professional development opportunities by exploring our website. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.
