Centre For Higher Education Research And Development

Courses
The Centre for Higher Education Research and Development (CHERD) has been Canada's leading provider of high quality courses for university and college administrators for over two decades. Courses can be taken individually or can be taken as part of the Certificate in University & College Administration (CUCA Level I) or (CUCA Level II) certificate progams.

Courses are delivered via the University of Manitoba's web-based Learning Management System - ANGEL Learning. Registrants can access the course website for preliminary perusal one week prior to the course start date. This will allow time for you to check compatibility of your computer with the website, and to do initial reading. The course website remains accessible for 4 days after the course completion date to allow time to complete your evaluations, and to do any additional printing that you require. All course materials required are available on ANGEL.

Instructors for the web-based courses are recruited from among administrators and academics that have practical experience in a specific course area. The instructional methodology will emphasize active learning principles, using a variety of experiential approaches involving participants from different institutions interacting in on-line communities.
