This is essentially a guide to touch-typing adapted to the needs of keyboarding, that is, inputting computer data by the use of a keyboard. The introduction of such innovations as memories capable of automatically correcting spelling errors does not remove the need for considerable practice in acquiring the skill of operating a keyboard without looking at the keys. Students should be fully aware of the degree of practice involved in acquiring that skill, without which speedy use of the keyboard is impossible. Susan Cornfield's guide provides the necessary quantity of exercises in the appropriate sequence, and success ultimately depends on the application of the amount of practice necessary.

This particular guide is well illustrated and should present few difficulties to even comparatively young students. The instructions appear to be clear and straightforward, as do the drills and practice exercises. This guide can be recommended to anyone wishing to operate a keyboard with speed and accuracy.
