Formerly published in Switzerland, France and Japan and with art shows to her credit in Italy, France, Spain and Japan, this Toronto writer both wrote and illustrated this satisfying, cohesive picture-book. One night the Moon decides to look at Molly's town a little more closely and it ends up in Molly's room. In suitably sombre colours, each room is shown—taking up, with the text, a double-page spread. Texture is especially well indicated and could lead to an interesting discussion with children about the technique. Language could also be developed as children describe or illustrate their own houses, or discuss Molly's (or their own) dream. Perspective is especially intriguing in the first illustration—a double-page picture of the town as seen by the Moon—probably a child's eye view as well!

One young child was quite disturbed that the Moon was not shown in every illustration but it really is there in the majority of cases—and the things the Moon saw are clearly evident.
