Residents are responsible for their own bedding. The beds are 36" wide x 80" long.
For your convienience, you can pre-order your sheets online from Campus Linens of Canada to be delivered to your room before you arrive. Please be aware of the ordering deadline on the online order page to enure pre-arrival delivery.

Bikes are not permitted to be stored in residence. There is a residence storage room that can be accessed by talking to a residence Don. There is also a bike stand on the south west end of the building where you can lock up your bike.
Winnipeg transit offers a comprehesive guide for getting around winnipeg. You can find all of your options by visiting Navigo. There is also a shuttle bus service that runs between the Bannatyne campus and the Fort Garry Campus. See the Parking Services Website for details.
Residents may decorate their room however they want, however there are a few restrictions:
You are expected to assume responsibility for the action of your guests, and you will be held accountable for a guest's violation of the Residence Contract. If problems arise with your guest (e.g. drunkenness, or any infraction of this contract), you may forfeit my privilege of having future guests, and a College representative may ask my guest to leave. Rooms are contracted to Residents for their private use only. To have a guest all you need to do is sign the guest in with the Don on duty before the end of Visiting Hours on that day. If I wish to have a guest for more than two consecutive nights, make advance arrangements with the Dean of Residence. Long-term guests are not permitted.
You are welcome to stay in residence during the holiday break, but you must let the general office know. There will be no food service during this time.
St. Johns College is not responsible for your personal belongings. It is reccommended that you purchase tennants insurance through your insurance broker. Some residents may be covered by your family's house insurance.
Before you talk to an insurance broker you may want to think about the following.
You are responsible for reporting thefts to campus security.
There are laundry facilities in the basement level of St. Johns Residence. There is a $10 deposit for the laundry card which you can get back when you are done with it. Each load costs $1 to wash and $1 to dry, laundry cards with $5 or more at the end of the year will be refunded if you are not returning to residence. Refunds must be done in person during regular office hours.

Parking passes can be purchased through Parking Services. It is highly reccommended to purchase your parking in advance becasue it sells out quickly. St. Johns residents have a section of the A-lot assigned to them (the row along the residence. View the parking map here.
Parking passes will be available at St. Johns Residence upon check in. You must show us the vehicle registration in order for us to release the parking pass to you.
No pets are allowed in residence.
St. Johns adheres to the Clean Indoor Air Policy which prohibits smoking of any substance in or around any building on campus. I will follow the U of M smoking policy. Smokers must be 8 meters (25 feet) or more away from any building entrance. Residents violating this policy will be penalized.
