Ian Cameron is one of three members of the Astronomy Group involved in teaching the first year introductory class in astronomy. Two major interests stem from a concern to employ the planetarium as an effective teaching tool; the history of astronomy to illustrate astronomical concepts, and the effective use of technology in the classroom. He currently maintains both the Astronomy Group and the Department of Classics websites. The entry for the Messier Catalogue showcases some of the work done at the Glenlea Astronomical Observatory.
