Lisa Hodgetts recently joined the Anthropology Department where she
teaches Archaeology. She is primarily interested in Arctic hunter-gatherers,
and uses animal bones from archaeological sites to study inter-household
variation in consumption patterns, and the seasonal use of different resources.
She completed her Ph.D. at the University of Durham, where she worked on
4000 year old material from Northern Norway. Her recent post-doctoral
project at Memorial University dealt with the Dorset culture in Newfoundland.
