At this time we are providing free antivirus software for PC users only, however it is possible we may be providing it in for Mac OS X in the near future:
The University of Manitoba currently holds a site-license for Trend Micro Office Scan. Trend is available for students, staff and retirees holding a valid UMnetID. We offer Trend for Windows 2000, XP and Vista machines that are located both on and off campus.
Recently Trend started development of a Mac OSX Antivirus product. IST is looking at the possibility of providing a site license for the Mac OSX product as well, but will need to wait until the product is released.
You can try out Trend Housecall for Mac OSX. The product is web-based and available for the Mac. Try it out at: http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
Also Norton has an anti-virus product for Mac OSX, which should be available for purchase at most computer stores.
