Secured Wireless Network (uofm-wpa) setup for Android 4.04

The following instructions cover the basic installation and specific setup for connecting your Android tablet or phone to the uofm-wpa secured wireless  (Wifi) network.
Connecting to the U of M WPA secure wireless (Wifi) network

To begin, click on the Settings icon from your applications screen.

Select Wi-Fi from the left-hand side menu. On the right select uofm-wpa or, if it is not displayed, select Scan in the top right corner to scan for available wireless networks.

Note that you must be in an area where uofm-wpa is available.

See our list of wireless locations for information on where wireless is available.

When prompted, enter your umnetid and password

(e.g.: the same username or password you typically use for Jump, Angel, or Webmail)

Select the Connect button.

You're done! You should now be able to check email and browse the Internet.

Important Note on saved passwords

Your username and password will be saved to your device until you remove it.

If you are lending your device to someone, or borrowed a device from someone else, we highly recommend removing your saved username and password (see next section) when you're finished with the device.

Click on the Settings icon from the Applications screen

Select Wi-Fi from the left-hand side menu. And select uofm-wpa on the right-hand side.

Select Forget.

Your device will no longer have your username or password saved and connect automatically..
