Email and Calendar Account Tools

All University of Manitoba students, staff, and retirees with benefits are eligible for email accounts.

  • Students can claim their email accounts after they have registered.
  • Staff can claim their accounts after they are listed as "active" within employee records.
  • Retirees (with benefits) must contact the Accounts Office to claim their accounts.

You are encouraged to claim your U of M account even if you already have email through another provider.  You can forward your U of M mail to your current email address and then receive all U of M mail.

To create your U of M email account, use claimid.

*Please Note - IST is in the process of migrating staff Email accounts to our new Exchange Email and Calendar server. To differentiate between the two servers we are referring to the existing email service as "Classic", while the new system we are simply calling "Exchange".
