The Telephone Office can assist you in determining the best plan and features suited for you. Choose a plan that suits your calling patterns, and find a device that meets your needs.  The Telephone Office does also periodically review cell usage to determine that you're on the best plan for the individual users' needs.

IST supports a wide variety of mobile devices, whether you're looking for a regular cell phone or a smartphone capable of combining your calendar, your email, web browsing, all onto  a single device. See our supported mobile devices page for more information surrounding our policy of mobile devices.

Cellular services for University of Manitoba faculty and staff are available from Rogers.

Certain models of cellular phones are available at no cost with a selected service agreement. Purchased equipment prices vary based on selection of the service agreement.

The IST Telephone Office will provide you with information on the Corporate rate plans. The Telephone Office can make arrangements to order the equipment if you know which cell phone you would like to purchase. Typically a cellular phone order will be completed within 2 days depending on product availability.

Deactivation of Cellular Services

If you no longer require service on a cellular device you will need to contact the IST Telephone Office to have the phone plan deactivated. The IST Telephone Office will verify the status of the contract to see if the cellular plan is off contract and whether or not there will be charges for cancellation.
