In 2007 a series of working conferences dedicated to bringing together researchers from across Canada interested in research in teacher education was started. This website is to function as a record of those conferences to share the events with the larger teacher education community in Canada and beyond.
The proceedings of the 2007 conference are published on this website and can be downloaded from the "Conference 2007" page. (Use the respective link on the right-hand sidebar to get to the page.)
Starting with with the 2009 Working Conference, the conferences are integrated into a three-phase book project on a specific topic relevant to teacher edcuation in Canada.
The topics for the respective book projects are as follows:
2009: Field Experiences in the Context of Reform of Canadian Teacher Education Programs
2010: The Question of Evidence in Research in Teacher Education in the Context of Teacher Education Program Review in Canada
The two books resulting from the two projects are published on this website and can be downloaded from the "Conference 2009" and "Conference 2010" page, respectively. (Use the respective links on the right-hand sidebar to get to the pages.)
In 2011 the Working Conference Series has been taken over by the Canadian Assocation for Teacher Edcuation (CATE). Information on the 2011 and subsequent Working Conferences on Research in Teacher Education in Canada can be found on the association's website: CATE.
