Bio
Gary began his teaching in 1976 as a middle-years social-studies teacher in southern Alberta after receiving his BA at RMC and serving as a captain in the Canadian Forces. After eight years in the classroom, he competed his MEd in Administration at the University of Alberta in 1987. He spent 12 years in administration with the last eight years as principal of Jubilee Junior High School In Edson, Alta. Gary completed his PhD at OISE at the University of Toronto in 2000. He was an assistant professor at Lake Superior State University, University of North Dakota, and University of Minnesota in Duluth from 2000-2006. He has been an assistant professor at the University of Manitoba since 2006.
