The
Faculty
of Education, University
of Manitoba, operates a Computer Lab which is used both
as a hands-on instructional lab and a student work area
to complete assignments.
The
computer lab, located in Room 328 of the Education
Building is only open to Faculty of Education students
registered in Education programs, and Education
academic and support staff. Funding for the computer lab is provided by the Faculty of Education Operating Budget and the Faculty of Education Endowment Fund.
We
seek to provide our students, faculty, and support staff
with the computing resources, hardware, software, and capable
staff, to help them succeed in their academic and professional
endeavours.
The
Lab houses 24 Windows and 14 Macintosh computers (Main Lab) and 8 Windows and 4 Macintosh computers (Overflow Lab) to provide
Education students the opportunity to learn both systems
as the various School Divisions in Manitoba use either platform.
The
Lab also provides scanning and laser printing services and
provides access to digital still and video cameras for Education
students' use in completing their course work.
