Qualified candidates are being sought for two (2) two-year term Instructor I/II level positions (rank to be determined based on qualifications and experience) in the following areas:
- Child Health (Position #JM662)
- Nurse Practitioner (Position #GR938)
POSITION:
The successful candidates will serve as on-site Course Leaders in the academic development, delivery and evaluation of theory and clinical undergraduate nursing courses; integrate scholarship into clinical and classroom teaching; and participate in professional and community organizations. The successful candidates may be required to offer courses on-site or through delivery by various distance education modalities to Faculty of Nursing Program Sites throughout the Province. The Nurse Practitioner position will include teaching and student supervision in the graduate program.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Baccalaureate degree in Nursing and a Master’s degree (in Nursing preferred or in a related discipline) required
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM)
- Teaching experience at a University preferred
Recent clinical experience in related area preferred
- Excellent communication and interaction skills
- Ability to foster collegial relationships
- Scholarly capabilities
Nurse Practitioner : General qualifications as above plus:
- Completion of a recognized nurse practitioner program is preferred
- Registration or eligibility for registration on the CRNM Extended Practice Register
Starting Date: August 1, 2006 or as soon thereafter
Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications
